Following their renovation successes in Sicily and Tuscany, Amanda and Alan took on a new challenge—a grand but crumbling property in Moclin, which they plan to transform into a beautiful bed and breakfast. From ceilings that had collapsed into the lower floors to walls in desperate need of repair, the scale of this project was unlike anything they’d faced before. But as always, the duo brought their signature humour, friendship, and infectious energy to the task.
The Dream Team Behind the Renovation
The project wouldn’t have been possible without the expertise of Scott Thompson, the show’s renovation guru. While Amanda and Alan wielded sledgehammers and tested their DIY skills on tiling and decorating, Scott and his team took on the heavy lifting, including structural repairs.

As proud owners of holiday apartments in Moclin, we frequently saw Amanda and Alan enjoying life in the village. It was a delight to see the duo mingling with locals, and we often shared a beer with Scott, swapping renovation tales and relaxing at Bar la Plaza, the village bar.
